About Us
Chauner Securities Inc. (CSI) is a boutique broker-dealer specializing in the structuring and distribution of alternative investments, primarily direct participation real estate and energy programs. CSI was founded by Frank B. Chauner in 1985 and has placed over $1 billion in equity in private placement real estate offerings. CSI has been the sole dealer or managing dealer of individual property offerings totaling over $151 million of investor contributions and was a managing dealer of multi property fund or private stock offerings with total investor contributions of over $807 million.
In addition, CSI raised over $52 million in equity capital for 25 CGR Real Estate Investment Funds, of which Chauner was a manager or general partner.
Managing Broker Dealer Services
Since 1985 CSI has provided Managing Broker Dealer services to real estate sponsors seeking to raise capital through private placement offerings in the retail space. We work with a sponsor’s internal team on document preparation, due diligence, deal structure, securities regulation and compliance matters, marketing support, as well as ongoing due diligence, investor relations and reporting assistance as needed after the offering has closed. It is our objective to develop long term relationships with our sponsors so that the interest of our investors, our sponsors, our partnering securities firms and CSI’s principals are aligned.
Registered Representative Program
We partner with independent securities professionals with a focus on real estate and energy alternative
investments. Our niche is working with unaffiliated registered investment advisors who want the
flexibility to offer a commission-based transaction to their clients when this is requested by or deemed to be in the best interest of the investor. We have a narrow focus which allows our registered representatives a simplified compliance and registration platform catered to our niche rather than a broad general securities approach taken by larger independent broker-dealer models.
